Mornin Yawl!

Been meaning to introduce myself for quite sometime so sorry for the late post. I’ve been a fan of 4Runners for years and finally snagged one last year: White 2010 SR5. We’re originally from North Carolina and have lived in Kansas for 6 years and most recently relocated to the Nashville, TN area back in the summer of 2021. Looking forward to doing some overlanding and camping this spring. Been slowly adding some mods to the “Storm Trooper” over the past year. Gonna be picking some of your brains in the future for sure!

Hi - new to this forum. Does anyone know the number of replies needed to post a new thread?

New member 2020 ORP

Hi everyone,
New member here.
Thank you very much for creating this site!

We purchased a 2020 ORP about a year ago.
We wanted it for remote camping and exploring.

Have already done quite a few mods.. some off-shelf stuff (tires, suspension etc) and more than a few custom mods mostly storage, compressor etc.

Here are some pics of the rig and also some of the locations we've already been lucky enough to visit with the truck.
Looking forward to chatting with everyone!

Just got our first Toyota ever. We've been a Chevy family for quite a while, but my son turning 16 had me looking for something much higher on the reliability scale. We settled on a 4Runner.

Got him a black 2011 SR5 that is already tricked out how he likes it. Still have a couple things to do on it, but he loves it so far.

My wife insisted on the bow.

Hi everyone. Great forum! I bought a V8 Sport 4x4 back in 05 when I worked for a Toyota dealership. We have been using it as a daily driver, weekend camper, jet ski hauler and ski trips to Big Bear. I am finally turning it into a trail rig. Did l2.5" lift, shocks, springs, wheels, tires, trac control mod and some needed maintenece. Rock sliders are on order and should be here in a week. I'll post some pics once I get the sliders on. After I get the sliders on I will be looking to give it a shake down run. Anybody intersted in letting a new guy tag along please hit me up.

Jason

Hello everyone. I worked on a few mods this weekend.

First was the dash cluster upgrade.
Then I added some lights on the stock roof rack.

I’ll be doing a full write up soon on the side area lighting.

New to the forum. Just signed up yesteday. Need advice/suggestions.

Hello Everyone,
My name is Mike and I'm in Tucson, AZ. I currently have two Gen 3 4Runners. My 217K '99 3.4 SR5 4WD automatic is the one I'm looking for some help with. A while back, it started misfiring and the codes were p0300 and p0302. The short of it was that replacing the #2 injector fixed the problem. Sometime later, the misfires returned and another injector, possibly #3, was replaced and that took care of that. Fast forward to 5 months ago...I'm driving home and have to traverse some running water that's probably a foot or two deep, which happens during the monsoon season here. Taking it easy at around 10-12 mph, the truck immediately starts to shudder the second (or so it seemed) that it entered the water. This has never occurred with this truck in the past. The last time I checked, the codes were p0300, p0301, p0302, p0303, and p0172. So, in an effort to fix the misfires and rich code this time, the following items have been replaced:

Both O2 sensors
All injectors and coil packs
Plugs and wires
MAF and Crank position sensors...

I think that's all but I may have done one or two other things that I don't remember. Needless to say, it's still running like crap, shuddering badly between 1400 and 1800 RPM, idling rough, with lousy performance and bad gas mileage. The CEL is mostly on and sometimes off, and sometimes it flashes while I'm driving. I'm hardly using it at all and piling up the mileage on my other one. Most replaced components were AFM from Rock Auto except the plugs and wires.

What's the next step? Fuel pump? Valve adjustment? Rip out all the AFM stuff and go with factory components? I'm not a gearhead and am about as handy as a foot. Any knowledgeable folks out there that can weigh in on this, because I need to get this thing up and running pronto.
Thanks in advance.

New to the forum!

Picked up a 2014 TE with KDSS a little under a year ago as my DD. Previous owner installed Toytech (front) Bilstein (rear) lift and some 275 K20's.

I sold my "vintage" 2013 Tesla Model S and bought a 2015 Trail. I knew I wanted either a trail or off-road and it had to be in super white. I also wanted a premium as I couldn't give up to many of my bougie comforts that I had been used to for so long. lol

Newbie to the forums here. Finally got activated and am able to post.

Fixin' up a 3rd gen i got from a buddy for next to nothing. probably puttin waayyy too much time, money and energy into this, making it look cool, but so be it..

has 318k miles, still seems to run strong tho. auto 2WD.

changed the entire interior to all black, with the bmw f30 front seats mod. painted everything that was tan, black. new carpet. dye'd seatbelts. redid door panels, painted headliner and all trim. only remaining "issue" for the interior, is making back seats black, without having them redone by a shop (something cheap?)

White 4runner, Exterior had major rust holes in the roof all over (why I dunno, it's a cali car). but I rhino lined the entire roof and bumpers. just installed nerf bars and the flat sr5 fender flares. need to get paint touched up and polished out to look again since it looks dull n faded.

I'm also in the process of installing 2021 all black roof rails onto this 3rd gen. been moddin the mounting brackets and just need to bolt them in now. something different.

I'll insert the latest image I have, which is from back in October, pre alot of newer exterior work. (forgive the black overspray on the hood, it's since been polished off)
