I currently own a 2003 SR5 V8 4WD that I completed a bunch of work on as soon as I purchased it. The 03 is my second 4Runner, my first being a 92 which started my obsession with 4runners.
I have a couple questions but I'm not sure this is the right place to ask...
Question 1: When I go to post something like a reply to a thread and I want to add an image the site wants me to enter a link rather than uploading a photo. How do I connect the photo I want to post/reply with to a link?
Question 2: How do I make/use a signature? I have seen other members with links to their photo albums and etc in their signature under "about me" but I was not able to find an option to "create" my own signature.
Thanks!

Question 2: User CP (Control Panel) --> Edit Signature (on the right hand side).

First post - just bought 3rd gen
Hi everyone,
My name is Charlie and I just relocated back to the states in June after living in South Korea for the past seven years (not military). While living in Korea, my wife's father gifted a '95 Tacoma to me so I had it shipped to the US and immediately had a Solo LT suspension installed. If you're on TacomaWorld, you can find me under "CharlieTaco".
Since my wife is Korean I'll have to wait a while for her green card to process. When she finally does get to come here, she will need a reliable daily or "family car" as she calls it. I decided on a 3rd gen 4Runner because they checked all the boxes for me.
Last week, I found the perfect one and quickly put a deposit down and flew to D.C. to purchase it and drive it back to KY where I live.
It's a 2001 SR5 in Glacier Metallic. Interior is oak and has leather. It has less than 67k miles, totally stock, and very clean!
I'm not sure to what extent I'll modify this but I expect I will do some stuff after my finances get in order and I'll start a build thread...after I reach the 15 post requirement.

New Here
What’s up everybody! I bought a 2020 SR5 premium 4runner for the wife back in 2019 and I love that car but I didn’t want to do any mods in it since it’s technically for my wife and because it was brand new. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago and my buddy was selling his 1999 3rd gen SR5 so I bought it. Im ready to make this car my own. My first project car. Let’s see how this goes.

Hey everybody, recently purchased my first 4 Runner. It is a 1996 in light beige, currently on 33" KO2's with a minimal lift. It has 195k miles on the odometer and needs some love.

Hi Everyone!
Hello Everyone,
New member checking in here from Florida, and recent Tacoma owner. I just picked up a 2009 4x4 SR5 with 41,000 miles. It had one original owner and was stored at their vacation home. The first thing I did was tested out the 4x4. Everything works so far and looks brand new, interior accessories still had the plastic wrap on them. They even put brand new tires on, replaced the battery and serviced everything. It was regularly serviced at Toyota as well.
The frame seems to be in decent shape compared to a lot of the others I have seen. The first thing I will be doing is tackling any current rust spots and coating the entire underbody. Im really looking forward to meeting everyone and getting involved in the 4Runner community!

ok so there is a 15 post min for new members, and this is a subforum for the new members to post up, but that's kinda hard to do when you cant start your own thread to introduce yourself... So say hi tell us a little about yourself, what your looking for here etc. that way you can get started on the way to completing your minimum requirement of posts to proceed to making your own threads and asking your own questions. i will be glad to help where i can and direct you or link you to the proper places or put you in touch with people who can help or know more than me. But please for the love of God don't go into other members threads and start posting crap and nonsense just to get your 15 post min. That min post was created so that spammers, trolls and bots don't come here and litter or clutter up threads and post ads or links etc. so here, i have opened the door for you to post away, but please keep it civil and respectful -that's all we ask.
-i don't even care if you ask repetitive questions or common questions that can be answered by reading the FAQs or a simple search.
Below are some useful hints as to upping your post counts and making friends here and or getting help looking for the answers you seek;
1. complement people on their builds and pics, each section has a picture thread, and tons of great pictures posted up daily, go there and look through them click the like button on the ones you like, people will see your not a bot and everyone likes getting likes -its a win win!
2. if you see a rig you like or think is cool look at the persons signature at the bottom of their post, often times there is a link there to their build or at least a list of mods. click the link and look at their build for ideas, ask relevant questions about their rig. -even if you just skim the thread and didn't read it. and if the OP(original poster) or someone else gives you flack just say "i missed that part sorry" (works everytime, trust me). or you can even post up asking a specific question.
3. every section has a FAQ, so try their first for you questions, you can almost always post up in those links and threads if you dont see your specific question.
4. use the search function at the upper right hand side of the page, just to the left of your screen name and notifications. and hey if you resurrect a 4 year old thread we will all know you used the search feature and are trying.
5. you can also PM members directly to ask questions if you are feeling shy or don't want to publicly ask a question, but this probably wont help you make your min 15 post, but it will help you get your answers.
-there are also several other ways of upping your post count, but i'm not gonna give you all the secrets...
-Please note i am not a moderator or sight administrator, and i can not look into your account for you, or help you activate your account. also it may take a while for your account to "unlock" after your 15 posts have been made, its not an instantaneous "opening of the heavens" and open posting may take a few mins or a couple of hours (your post might have to be up for review to confirm you are not "troll posting". so please don't ask me to unlock your account or something of the like, i simply am a contributing member like yourself trying to make this place a better source/resource of 4runner knowledge.

After months of scouring the local ads for a first gen, I gota beautiful babyyy. There have been many issues to come up with her, but most importantly, right now, someone is actively trying to STEAL HER, or STEAL parts!!! I have no idea what to do. I am researching security cameras, and aftermarket alarms, but I am afraid I got myself the kind of prize that local car thieves are going to keep coming back for more of!! Is there anything I can do? Do first gen owners just need to have a ton of disposable income, or a trust fund, to keep and maintain, with the way the market's been? Thanks, guys. After yeaaars of dreaming, owning my dream car has just been such a strain! I don't even know if I can keep handling all the issues that keep coming up.
