New 3rd Gen owner from KS

Whats up everyone, I purchased my first 4Runner a few months ago, a 99 limited with 264K. This forum has been pretty valuable in helping me get my rig close to where I am happy with it.

As far as I could tell everthing was basically original so some upgrades ive done are Bilstein 4600's on all 4 corners, inner & outer tie rods, lower ball joints, usual tuneup and I added new uphosltery to the passenger and driver seat cushions. Plans are to get new wheels and tires soon and do the timing belt around 300k (not sure of last time belt was changed).

Looking forward to keep learning, thanks guys.

Looks like a nice vehicle and the repairs that you did to your vehicle make sense to keep it going. My personal feeling is spending a lot of money on tires and wheels, especially the wheels is money not put to its best use. Do keep in mind that you have a 264K vehicle and it will need repairs as any vehicle with that many miles will need in time. You’re definitely right with the wheels, it’s more of a luxury and these current tires have decent tread so I’m gonna get what I can out of them. But thank you, I’ll have to subscribe to that channel.
