I have been a part of many forums, they are SO useful especially this forum. Small issues that take repair shops hours to diagnose can be found on here with a simple search.. anyways.. little about me:
I'm almost 31, live in Daytona Beach, Fl, a police officer here in Volusia County, married for 3 years with a 2.2yr old and one due here in 3 weeks! The police picture is receiving "Officer of the Year" for getting shot at multiple times then pursuing the vehicle until it crashed.
I had a 06 Dodge Charger SRT8 and my wife had a 03 Tahoe with 24's on it. With the first kid, I did not want to ruin the SRT8 with milk stains and Cheerios everywhere so I sold it and I began to drive the Tahoe. My wife loved SUV's but not like the size of the Tahoe. We looked for a 4Runner and found one in Tampa, Fl with 108k miles for 8k. Its had the leather, JBL, etc. We bought it and immediately did timing belt, waterpump, PS pump and rack. She LOVED it and so did I. I became jealous of the engine smoothness and the ride. SO I sold the Tahoe and began searching for 4Runner of my own.
I have had access to a dealer only auction through my dad's company and went to the auction today and found a 2004 4Runner with the 4.7 and 112k. I CarFaxed it and it was a single owner new car trade fully serviced at Toyota of Melbourne since new. I picked it up for 6,800; 7,000 after auction fees. I LOVE it. Sunroof does not work at all and there a slow oil leak onto the manifold causing it to smoke under the hood. It is cloth, which I prefer over leather.
I LOVE it. I love having two of these V8 4Runners. I get by on a LEO salary and needed something I could pay cash and have it last a long time. Both are 2WD.
Here are pictures, the silver is my wife's and the Blue one is the one I bought today. The pictures with snow is from our vacation house in GA.
