Potential new owner...
I'm contemplating replacing my 2009 Buick Enclave with a 2016 4Runner Limited, so visiting the forum for some insight. I see I have been a member since Aug-2013, so must have been contemplating back then also.
I have never owned a Toyota, but am aware of their solid reputation of reliability and resale value.
Criteria for this next vehicle includes cargo capacity and towing capability, which rule out a number of other SUV/crossover choices.
A few thoughts/questions welcoming comments/suggestions:
1. I've used Full synthetic oil in all vehicles for the past 7 years and would expect to do the same with the 4Runner.
2. The slide out cargo shelf in the 5 seater seems like a great feature, but it may not be available in the 2016? Is it as good as it seems and is it still available.
3. An annoyance with the Enclave and presumably many vehicles today is the difficulty in replacing front light bulbs. Is the 4Runner similar or are the lights/modules accessible from under the hood.
4. I haven't driven one yet, mostly done research online up to this point, but can I expect the X-REAS suspension in the Limited to provide a similarly smooth ride as the Enclave ( important to my wife ).
5. Any other comments/suggestions for me to check out on the upcoming test drive? I wouldn't likely be taking it off road, but I like the looks, space and towing ability in a right sized package ( smaller than a Tahoe/Escalade but with more interior space than a Grand Cherokee/Durango ).
Thanks!
