Leather upgrade at 149000 miles. Worth it?

Im relatively new to the forum but I have done a lot of research over time and am considering to do a leather upgrade for my 06 4runner. I have replaced all the fluids except for the transmission fluid, have replaced the alternator, all filters, battery, brake system is new, all pulleys and tensioners on engine are new. The car is in overall great condition but am trying to figure out if the upgrade to leather would be worth it.

Any suggestions would be really helpful!

also I would be doing the work myself and would be replacing the original factory cloth if I do it. Here are some pictures of my rig to give an idea.

I don't see why not, no need to justify it, your 4Runner looks like new and should be good to go for another 150,000.

Just put seat covers in my runner, definitely not the first option but will get me through till I have enough for real leather conversion. Hope it works well.

Are you talking swapping the leather seats from a Limited or similar or some sort of aftermarket covers? A guy at work just did a set in his van but I don't know from which manufacturer. He said they were a horror to install since they're a super tight fit. But now that they're in place they look almost like factory.

I've got black interior that seems to show every piece of dirt and dog hair that shows up. I think leather, at least for the front seats, would be a very nice upgrade.

I would be buying actual seat upholstery from I believe leatherseats.com and then install it myself. I think that would be my cheapest option. My cloth is in overall nice shape but I have been wanting seat heaters too so I thought I might as well kill 2 birds with one stone haha.

There are several inexpensive option for seat covers. If you have to have leather, then of course, you are looking at paying some money. I've seen the high-end neoprene covers and they look outstanding.

Have you thought about looking for a local pick 'n' pull yard and see if there's a LTD that you could swap out? Seems like an awful lot of tedious handiwork.

Yeah I had seen those covers you were talking about but the price difference wasn't that much so I felt it be a better option to find actual replacements. I had looked around but couldn't find any junkyards even remotely close with a 4runner of my age haha. I just ordered a kit from leatherseats.com and will be posting a thread when it comes in and I am able to install it.
