Plasti Dip

These are photos from my plasti dip project. The results were great.

Looks great! How'd the wheels turn out? Plastidip can do some amazing things. The only thing I didn't like was the inability to REALLY get brake dust out of the plastidip after a couple of years of use.. granted, the last wheels I plastidipped were on a 2000 Xterra and it sat in the sun year round. But it's a fantastic cheaper option as opposed to powercoating or something more permanent.

I will spray some plasti dip into a plastic cup and do touch up with a paint brush. I have also used shoe polish to touch it up.

How did the wheels turn out? I’m thinking of doing this to my wheels and emblems too.

Smile

Looks Great. I did my bumpers and grill. Hitting the door handles next. I believe Fonzie would be proud of our work.

I like the idea of using cards for the wheels. I plastidipped the steelies on my old car (99 Ford Explorer) as well as a few other areas. Really love the stuff.

Badges look great.
Well done.
Makes me think should go ahead and dip my roof rails.

The playing card trick is ingenious. Will have to remember that for future use!

Looking forward to seeing how the rest of this turned out. I Have a BP LE that I'm about to dechrome and turn into a Storm Trooper.

Plastidip works wonders when applied properly. I've done my grill, emblems and the factory rails. Not a fan of my chrome door handles(or any other chrome piece) but I'm a little hesitant to dip them.
