Hanging by a thread.

Greetings from Minnesnowta. Just purchased my first 4Runner about 3 weeks ago. It is a 2016 TEP. Been scrounging through build threads and mods. I have ideas, just trying to find the perfect balance of looks and practicality without breaking the bank. It looks like there is tons of good information here and even more good people to help with the other information that isn't published yet. I look forward to being part of this community as well as the times we may meet in person out in the wild.

I also have a 97 T100 SAS'd that is currently on hold whilst I build the 4R.

Me and my 4R

20200202-160515

The T100

20191203-154811

This may be a repost from my first post in the sticky. Figured it wouldn't be seen in the 15 post dance thread.

Lots of potential there! Love the grey. What are you trying to scope your 4Runner for?

Thanks! It's not my first color choice but I didn't want to spend the extra $$$ for a Pro. Plus it matches the wife's NX.

The 4runner will be the typical family hauler, vacation chaser, grocery getter. Looking to build a lightweight overlander.

Nice color!

That was my second color choice if I hadn’t found mine in white (2019 TRD OR).

Looks great!

Thanks! I love it more and more everyday. Only problem I am having is not driving how I used to drive my Forester XT. They look similar from the driver seat with the hood scoop, certainly dont drive the same.

I imagine the T4R is slower and less agile. Way more low-range, though. How do you like it by comparison?

It's hard to compare a truck to a race car. I drive both of them as stated. I like the nimbleness of the forester. They both have the same horsepower so weight is the only difference. I feel like a badass in either one although these 5th gens are really the king's of the road as far as looks go.
