3rd gen from Canada

Hi everyone, I recently started a side business and needed something to tow a 6x12 trailer. Was gonna go for a truck but I have no use of the bed so I just got a 02 V6 4runner as my workhorse! I'm very excited and already ordered a transmission cooler.

Looking to get some wheels soon, fix some rust and order a lift kit. What is the best way to lift and affect towing the least possible? A body lift I guess?

Anyways here's the 4runner and my daily Panamera 4S

Congrats on the find! Looks like s solid rig. I'd always recommend any lift candidates read through the various ultra-informative sticky threads on the top of the 3rd gen forums here, but in brief- yes. Its safe to say that a body lift will affect your ride minimally (as long as you keep it small, 1-2"). If you plan on using it as a dedicated towing vehicle and never plan on adventuring with the rig, then that would likely make the most sense for you. However, if there's any chance you'd get off the beaten path up in the winterlands, I'd look into a 2" 5100/OME Spring Lift as it's money well spent, especially if your suspension is iffy now.

Welcome to the forums!
