Talking 2TH4IST 2000 Sport Sr5.

Howdy all, after 8 months or so I was finally able to find my 4runner. He was on the verge of neglect and I rescued him. 226k on the clock, rear diff lock. To keep a long story short, diff bearings blew so I had to fix that boo. So far almost everything I've done so far have been mandatory maintenance. Now I'm almost done so I can start modding him.

I also drive a 2002 mazda miata called catfood. Both cars are a blast. Never owned a off road vehicle before, and my first trip out I said to myself, why the heck did I wait so long. I'm in the socal area. Been to big bear a few times and ran cleghorn a few times with some extra credit lines.

Poser flex shoot.

Thanks! Yes it has rejuvenated my interest in cars. So much has been done already. Now trying to decide on tires....that is the hardest decision so far lol.

So far I have done:
Timing belt
Water pump/tstat
Cam seals and crank seal
Valve cover gaskets
Plugs/wires
Deck plate mod
Airaid intake tube
Bleed the brakes
Used 3rd member (my stock 3rd bearings crapped out)
Trans cooler (going bigger soon)
New radiator
All and I mean all coolant hoses including all heater hoses
Oil cooler reseal
Driveshaft u-joint
Cb radio
Manual antenna
Working used sunroof
New used clean headliner
Diff breather mod
Drivers side mirror
Knuckle gussets

Soon to be done:
Manual hub conversion
F-150 tank swap
Bigger trans cooler
Power steering flush
Trans flush and shift kit install
Lower ball joints
Spc upper control arms
Front and rear wheel bearings and seals
1" body lift
Tires
Bumpers/sliders/skids
Sonoran lift kit

So yeah tons and tons of work. But it's fun work and the truck is easy to work on. Purrs like a kitten, but having issues with the door locks in this heat. Need to rebuild the lock actuators and repair some hatch wiring.

I plan on wheeling and camping and what not. Also plan on building a small utility trailer that I can mount a rtt to and use it as a base station. I just enjoy doing light wheeling in it and getting out in the wilderness. Again I say to my self, why did I wait so long.
