New East Coast T4R owner

Hi!

After months of searching and shopping I finally found my new-to-me 4th gen 4Runner. It's a completely stock 2007 sport V8 with 113k, white with black leather and no rust. And a new timing belt. I'm so stoked. I told myself this will be the last vehicle I buy until an affordable electric 4x4 is viable.

Of course I found it right as all the coronavirus restrictions were hitting, so I have a temporary tag from the dealer, but otherwise won't be able to register in my name for who knows how long. So a little bummed about that, but I don't think it will be a problem. (It was an interstate transaction so I have to get it registered in my home state of PA)

I'm planning on installing a modest lift (thinking Bilstein 5100) and slightly larger tires. I like the look when the tires are flush with the outside of the fenders. (Not a fan of the pokey out look) Anyone have tips on what offest/backspace I should look for to attain that? I think I'll run 275/70/17 tires on 17x8 wheels.

Thanks for reading and I'm excited to join the club!

Congrats! I'm interested in following your build. I just bought a 2007 myself and am in the northeast. Still waiting on my registration too.. Gonna take about 2 more weeks. I'll be on this forum until then!

Hey Adam! I'm on the east coast as well. Really hard to find a good one, glad you did! I've been searching for the past year, and these are so hard to find, went with new. She's pretty!

Welcome and congrats!

Also on the east coast and looking for a clean 2010-2013 4Runner. Hoping to find something with decently low miles for a reasonable price.
