Finally getting to work on the yota

I got my 4runner back in 2015 with every intention of building it out... However I got my wife pregnant shortly after and the 4runner was quickly claimed as he primary baby carting machine for obvious reasons. The wife recently replaced her little commuter mobile with a RAV4, which has finally returned my 4Runner to me.

To date I have:
Rubber: ko2s (stock size for now)
suspension: bilstien 5100s (front set to max lift), 1.5 spacers in the rear
armor: RCI skids (front, tranny, tcase and gas tank), victory 4x4 rock sliders
performace: arb air locker
other stuff: Rhino rack pioneer platform with backbone rails (76"), victory 4x4 window molle panels

Im looking to get a front bumper next and beef up my LCAs.

Aftermarket LCA's are sooo expensive. You thinking about welding skids on to stock arms?

Welcome back! I have the Shrockworks FB, it's very well built but heavy, and there are way more options out there now. Heavier front springs might be needed depending on the bumper you go with, and if want a winch of course. The oem LCAs are pretty stout the way they are unless you plan on doing some serious rock crawling. Like mentioned earlier, there are some very good performance LCAs out there, but they are expensive. I have a set of the ICON S2 LCA skids I never installed. PM me if you think they would be something your considering.
Good Luck!
