Hello everyone, I've always appreciated the info on this forum and want to finally contribute. After driving a 2008 v6 for a while I grew to love the 4th gen platform and spent a couple months looking for a 06-09 v8 sport in shadow mica. A couple weeks ago I finally found one locally with a clean frame and service history and pulled the trigger. It already has a decent lift and wheel/tire package, and I'm looking to add some overlanding gear next. First steps will probably be onboard air, an awning and some sort of solar/aux battery setup.

Though not very cheap, the volant intake I just put on my 03 v8 made the sound come to life more than I ever thought it would. Smiles per gallon are definitely way up, granted at the expense of mpg but hey

Nice looking rig!

Nice work! I've been looking all over for that combo. Found one but it was going for some $$$$. I can't believe you found that in the northeast and didn't have frame/rust issues. Good luck!
Congrats! Good looking vehicle. I miss the V-8 in my’04. As I remember, the V-8 had a lot more low end torque than the 4.0, and nothing sounds better than a V-8 while accelerating. I just can’t get excited about these newer, small 4 cylinders with twin turbos that the other auto companies are using. My V-8 went into the 200,000’s with nothing more than routine scheduled maintenance.
