I retired from Chevrolet Motor Division and after 35 years I was tired of Chevrolets for no other reason than felt I wanted to try a Japanese vehicle and see why they are so superior to American vehicles. So for the next 20 years the wife and I have been driving Honda's and Acura's, (Accords, Ridgelines, RDX, etc.). Now go back two years ago and the wife got a new Lexus RX 350, so my Ridgeline I wanted to replace with something else, no problems with the Ridgeline what so ever, but I wanted to try something different and not another pickup. So I started looking around and I came upon the 4-Runner and now after 2 months of looking at them, I bought one last week, I love it, it just says cool for this 78 year old guy.
So, I also did a thing I’ve been wanting to do for years - I purchased a 4Runner. A 2024 Limited in white. She’s a beautiful well-built gas-guzzling beast, and I love it.
Anyways… I’m coming up on my first oil change and rotation interval and would love to hear feedback about dealer service departments in the upstate New York area. Saratoga, Albany, etc.
I’m leaning towards Clifton Park Toyota or Northway Toyota as I hear both of these places don’t do drive up quick lube service and instead only take scheduled appointments with actual techs, but I have absolutely ZERO personal experience with any Toyota service (yet). I’d do the service myself, but I recently had surgery and can’t do any wrenching for a while unfortunately.
In other words, I don’t want some untrained rookie over torquing everything into oblivion, lol.
