Center Dash Console Issue 97 4Runner

Hope everyone is doing well during these times first off!

I wanted to hop on here ask anyone who can help me with an issue I'm having, more annoying than an actual problem. I recently did an led swap for my climate controls lights and it was fairly easy removing the plastic parts as I saw a video posted on YT I got from a previous post here, well as I tried to put the plastic dash cover back it seems so hard to clip on back onto my truck I'm not sure why? The clips aren't broken at all yet the left side of the cover refuses to sit and clip evenly. Has anyone gone through this issue before? I appreciate any help or advise I can get.

Also would anyone know what the size of screws are behind the dash that hold the stereo? They seem pretty warned out and would like to swamp them for new ones, thanks again and stay safe everyone.

IIRC there is a screw behind the top right of the HVAC panel, is that getting in the way? If you have the center plastic cover off, can you get the top right clips in place before you push the rest of the clips in?

Check the screw that was mentioned above and also check to see if there are any wire or part of a harness pressing against the console when you try to clip back on.
