P0300 Code (Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected)

P0300 code. My '01 4Runner is throwing this code. I replaced the spark plugs back in August (before replacing them, I didn't have this problem). Two weeks after I replaced them, I got this code (it's been on and off). So I replaced the spark plug wires two weeks ago and just yesterday I got this code again. What could be the problem? The spark plugs?? Any ideas?

A follow up to this tread. The problem is bad head gasket. Coolant is getting into cylinder 5. The 4Runner is not overheating, no white smoke coming out of the tailpipe or coolant in the engine oil. So, that's why I'm getting the P0300 code (Random Misfire detected). Most likely, I'll be swapping the engine

I had the same intermitent cylinder misfire code and it ended up being my coil packs. test the head gasket first before buying more parts, but if that doesn't work I would try replacing Oxygen sensors and cleaning / buying new fuel injectors. Hope this helps.
