86 4runner, Arizona new guy

Hey all

I spend most of my time on Yotatech, but I was looking for a cool 4runner specific forum. Found you guys and this site looks awesome. A little about myself, I'm 23 and am a Student at the University of Arizona majoring in Microbiology, minoring in Chemistry. I got my 1st gen back in July, call it a Birthday gift to myself. I've always loved Yotas, and now I finally have my own! Enough talk, here is a picture of her. I'll post up more in the classic 1st gen pic thread.

My 1986 Toyota SR5 (Canadian edition) 155,000 original miles.

Currently it has:
4" pro-comp lift, 33x1250x15 BFG MTs, Aisin Manual hubs, ARB front bumper with a Warn winch

My plans for this year are to get an Aussie locker in the rear, some sort of sliders, Herculiner in the rear because the 23 year old carpet was shot, and a zuk coil mod with some new shackles because my rear leafs are toast. (Toyota Gear Installs) Maybe a custom spare rack in the back.

Thanks all for the kind words. To be honest, the ARB was already on the truck. I believe the bumper/winch combo runs anywhere from 1000 to 1500 depending on the price of the part and install. The only downside to the ARB is that it weighs a ton, and is a little bulky for the rocks around here, but its definatly a solid bumper.

That is one sweet looking runner. Still looks like new. Is the "Canadian Edition" an option package of the time or did it actually come from Canada? Looks especially clean considering the shape and rust of most 1st gens around here.

Welcome aboard.

Welcome aboard.

It is originally from the Victoria region of Canada. Speedo and odo read in KIlometers. I'm not sure how much time it spent in the great north before coming across the border. I just know I'm the 4th owner.
