New here and to 4runners 3rd gen VSC/TRAC Disable!

Just got my first Toyota in August. 2001 4runner SE 4x4 with 74,500 miles. Brand new Goodyear Wranglers, leather, sunroof, hood scoop. I used to have a 2002 Jeep KJ Limited with the lockers and everything. Can't wait to take out the runner in the snow this winter to get a good comparison to the Jeep, which was amazing in snow. Was doing some donuts in the field at my friends house today and the VSC/TRAC kept kicking in and interupting power to the wheels. I know this is normal and I would never disable it for on road driving but when I feel like having fun you can disconnect it. This was helpful to me so I though I'd share it. Link shows how to disconnect VSC/TRAC on 3rd gens.
4wd ? for an 02 sport edt

I was in enough mud that I wasn't in any real danger of flipping. I did make one sharp turn on the grass which felt too close for comfort, so I toned it down after that. But believe me, my runner is my baby, I wouldn't do anything to put her in jeopardy. Thanks for your concern though!

Disabling VSC/TRAC is as simple as getting under the dash, finding a wire, and bypassing it with a switch.

Here the how to:
AndyMod 2.0. ABS Remains Active. - YotaTech Forums
(Basically, just unplug the ECU port, find the wire in the V18-3 spot, cut it 1.5 inches from the ECU, get extra wire, put a rocker or toggle switch on the dash in one of the factory locations.)

I have done this and it works very well. You just need to restart the vehicle to turn the VSC/TRAC back on after disabling them.
