Take out the bolt holding the cloth handle on. Pull off the plastic panel at the bottom corners, and then pull and lift it (it's held on with pop-in clips), and the lifting will get the window molding off the lip at the top. Removing the large aluminum panel inside should be self explanatory, and then you'll have access to the innards.

Thanks a ton.Was able to get into the back and at least get the hatch back to open.It looks as though rust is the culprit. Not sure what I will do from here.

I fiddled around with mine because something was preventing the handle from triggering the latch mechanism.

My lock is broken off and the tangle of stuff was messing with things, especially when the window would knock against it all.

I had to open mine up last summer, tie the lock up, get everything nicely straightened away, and seal the lock hole, and then it worked fine.

I was in there again to lube the spring in May, and I used some zip ties instead of twist ties, but I did it too tight and the steel stick wire was not moving freely, so the handle stopped working again.

Anyway, I'm not sure if this makes much sense because I don't know the names for all the parts, but just play around with the latch area.

It's the remote control on the diagram in that link, but that doesn't make sense. Basically where all the stuff meets--lock and door handle stuff.
