Olympia, Wa. Just about to start building my runner up. Its a stock 01 SR5 with 33k on it. Bought a Toytec 3" lift with 891 springs and front spacers, and FJ 17" wheels, read you can fit tundra brakes so I'm looking for a set. Squeezing some 285/70R17 BFG A/T's under it and came across a cheap Warn front bumper so I picked it up too. Plan on putting the whole puzzle together this week.. Hope it all works out. I'll try and start a build page if I can figure out how.

Questions: have found most of my mechanic answers on the site already, just winging it as I go.. My biggest concern right now is making sure the tires aren't going to be too big and rub. I want to get the best combo of clearance and flex space.. Thinking about a 1" body lift but a friend said there might be a lot of sway between a SL and a BL combined..

Thats funny you saw me on here Rip.. your build is what brought me to this page! So your tundra brake job.. How is it holding up? I was gonna hit some scrap yard and see if I could find a used set to save some $$.. tapped my account with all the stuff above and my stock rotors are getting a little wobbly.. Gonna use my rig mainly for DD and driving over mountain passes.. Hope to continue following yours with the CB ashtray spot and the extra grab handle. Hows the supercharger treatin ya?

33k? Damn dude. Sounds like you are off to a good start though!

Just trim the edge of the fender on the bumper and flatten the pinch weld in the front wheel well. That should be all you need unless you really hammer this thing off road.

Wow that's really neat, glad you like it! Everything is working out great, not a single complaint and I smile whenever I drive anywhere.

*133K miles.. yeah 33k would be nice though.. Just finished the lift and fabricated a new front bumper from an old one.. still have more to do to it before I'm happy with it.. Can't find tundra brakes anywhere... buying them new is $$$!!! I'll be posting the 100000000 pictures I took soon, probably start a build page.. Have a new friend who does metal fabrication for a living in a shop so Im thinking I have several new projects ahead.
