I've been to Prairie City once for the first Califab BBQ/Wheel event. It was great times, always down to go back if others want to plan something.

I'm about 5 min. away (live in Folsom ) and also enjoy Prairie City. Schedule is crazy with kids in little league, soccer, etc. but let me know when you head out there and if I can make it we could meet up.

Yes - count me in (Prairie City or trails).
On a side note, I've been researching "local" trails for a while (internet, guide books, etc.) and know a few trails within 1 to 3 hrs drive of Sacto, but haven't run many of them and definitely am not a trail boss... but I'm willing to run them with a group if we can pull it together.

2. Anyone down for a meet up anytime soon at Prairie City?
|
1. Nope, sorry. Didn't know those types of places existed.
2. Yeah, count me in.

Damn.. Oh well... Guess i'll have to wrench on my car in the walmart parking lot or something...
Hopefully I can get my 4runner back from the body shop soon! I'm seriously aching to get out and get my 4runner dirty! Completely down for wheeling + camping trips too
edit:
BTW, do you guys have any recommendations on a shop for rock sliders around here? How much would they run me about?
Thanks

Meet n Greet Trail Run Feeler....
@ Warpkor
@ Nitro81
@ theoutbackdream
@ Loud Runner
@ bruinblue
@ Brookey_813
@ rockyfj
@ MORmjso
@ Shred_Head
@anyoneelse???
Putting a feeler out there for who might be interested in a trail run / meet n greet type get together either Sept. 2 or Sept. 3 2017?
I am thinking we could meet somewhere like a Starbucks/Pete's for coffee in the morning (meet n greet stuff), then head to a local trail like Signal Peak or Slate Mountain or Plummer Ridge or what ever (nothing too difficult).
Anyone interest or have other thoughts?

Sounds like a good time to me. I'll keep those dates open. I've always wanted to check out Signal Peak. I'm down for anywhere though.

I would definitely be interested in a meetup/ trail run in the near future. Unfortunately i will be out of town for Labor day weekend...
I've always wanted to head up Signal Peak. I'm sure all the snow will be melted by September.

Just throwing this out there. I'll be camping / doing moderate trails with some friends next weekend June 29-30. We're hitting up Bear Valley / Lake Alpine areas. Not sure what trails yet, TBD. I can't commit to meeting up with T4R folks, as it's up to them & they're coordinating a group of 12. But I'll try to post details when I have them.
Most will likely meet somewhere in Sac & caravan up. I know we'll be doing trails Sat day, & we'll try to camp Sat night at Lake Alpine (sites are first come). The trails should be easy-moderate, so stock 4x4 would be fine.
Most will be Jeeps, so I may be the only 4R! LOL

Sounds great, but I'll have to see if those dates work for me near the middle of august. Signal Peak is on my bucket list of trails. Also want to do Corral Hollow,
and Blackwood Canyon + Ellis Peak. Still need to research places to go around here though!
In the mean time, we can hit up some not-so-serious trails that are local to Sac/Folsom/EDH(if there are any, which I presume there would be) + Prairie City?

Sorry I'm going to pass as the description for this trail says that it's "not for stock SUV's". Mine hasn't had a lift yet and won't probably for awhile. Great idea though.

Just wondering, do you guys have whatsapp or something similar? Maybe we can keep in touch, and have impromptu trips/meets?

Headed to the mountains for the weekend...
Will do some more research over the next week (or 2) then post back a specific date, meet up location, trail, etc. Already looking forward to this!
Cheers

Went up HWY108 to the Stanislaus National Forest. Little bit of a drive, but really nice area.
