If I can swing it, I'll tag along. Like always it depends... For example I'm about to send my diff our for a limited slip install. She'll be down about a week or 2 but it should help a lot from the one-legged burn out on slick rocks.
Also I've been reviewing that book I got. I have a couple trails I'm curious about. (Marked as "moderate" in 2004). I'll report when I have a suggestion.

Any openings anytime soon that would work? I'm usually free, but a few days heads up would make it easier for me to get out.

Hopefully you can make it out again. Maybe we can plan something out so that once you get your diff installed, you can test it out

That'd be sweet! But I also refuse to be the deciding factor hhaha. So if it works out with everyone (and my wife and child are part of that) then absolutely!

BTW, do you guys happen to know any places I can work on my truck in the sac area? My apartment doesn't let me do anything. I need to do an oil change, and eventually my lower ball joints...

Well it's a little bit of a drive for you, but we can use my house/garage once my truck gets reassembled. It's in Vacaville so maybe 45 minute drive. Takes a decent heads up though, again cuz of the family. If you really wanted to be brave, we could organize where we take it to my shop in Napa. I have keys and the boss doesn't really care if I wrench on stuff on weekends. A couple options for you to think about.

Wanted to add, for the inconvenience of driving to napa, keep in mind we will have a vehicle lift, air tools, and everything else we could ever need.

That might be my best option as of now that isn't illegal (IE: walmart/autozone/Orileys parking lot)...
I'll keep that in mind, but it may be a bit too far to do just an oil change.
Thanks for that though

**Feeler** Trail Run Oct. 21st
Just throwing out a feeler for who is up for a trail run Sat. Oct. 21st? Might be last opportunity of the season...
Im open to suggestions on location/trails... so let me know your thoughts and lets get something planned.

Probably can't swing that day, got a family function deal. MAYBE the 14th but again, don't plan it around me. Either way I can pass along a trail or 2 I was eyeing from my new book when I get home.

Doesn't sound like a bad idea.. Although, I might be gone camping at a lake. I'll have to double check.
I'm in for anything if I can make it though!
Signal peak, Trails along the Mormon Emigrant Trail, Strawberry pass, Corral Hollow, etc..

I am always down to go if there's enough time ahead to plan. Could use a trip to damage my skids some more.

Alright, so the next few on my list were:
Deer Lake (M)
Gold Valley (M)
Sierra Buttes (E)
Tyler-foote crossing (E)
Bear valley loop. (M)
Shirttail canyon (E)
Issue is, they are quite a drive even for the sac folks. Looks like up highway 49 passed grass valley. Book is older, so I haven't looked too much into current ratings. But these were pretty much the remainder Moderate and Easy ones around us. And bear valley has a few optional obstacles which sounds intriguing. Shirttail is closest but easiest and has a lot of cool sights to see according to the literature.
There's quite a few it lists right around the crotch of CA/NV border rated as difficult mostly. (But signal peak is rated difficult in this book, and we all killed it ). Those would be better to burn a whole weekend not just an afternoon in my opinion.
Anyway, do what you will with the info. Keep me posted if anyone decides on a day. Even just prairie city or if you guys wanted to come out west to Knoxville that'd be cool too. I've never been to either.
