LOL. Definitely got creative!

I had an aftermarket tow hitch before the bumper to do the same shit. Saved me several times.

Now to find time to do all these runs I've been invited to do this yr.

The Rubicon is not that bad, there are even places to due undercarriage inspections. Not even a scratch from this. Landed just right on the slider, and a thumbs up for good measure.

Not sure these springs (677) where designed to handle this kinda weight, green Oak.

The bumper does!

I found that my truck isn't rubicon ready yet either, almost there... just need 35's ... and lockers.... and better suspension travel... and a bit more armor... yeah almost there.

Anyone have any trips planned for Saturday or Sunday? Just got the truck back and got the itch to hit some trails.

That's badass, I'd love to have a trail rig like that one day.

I'm wondering..

Is there a weekend you guys would be able to make it?

If we were to do this, I could see the schedule being something like this...

Friday
Leave around noon, get there a little after sunset, set camp and relax. Another option is leaving here in the afternoon, and get there very early Saturday morning.

Saturday
Wake up early. Go siteseeing/wheeling along 395. Try to catch Schat's Bakery in Bishop for Dinner. Set up camp in Bishop, on Buttermilk Road.

Sunday
Go wheeling for the first part of the morning on Buttermilk Road, then head home past noon.

Obviously, if we had more time, it'd be nice so we wouldn't constantly be on the move.

Could be cool, that's around a seven hour drive for me so I'd want to take some PTO and make it a 4 day weekend, maybe camp 2 nights or something to break up the drive.

I was thinking of going to Prairie city to play in the mud for awhile before running some errands... haha

Yea, that's true... The drive is quite brutal, but it makes up for it in every way possible once you're out there. haha

I sold that back in 2002. Then built a '92 with FJ-80 front axle and a Taco 8.4 rear axle. That thing was pretty much point and shoot.

Alrighty then folks! We are getting a bit closer to Easter weekend, the weekend in which I'll be out camping with a few friends of mine over at Indian Springs off the 80 in Tahoe National forest. March29th-April 1st, if weather permits, but I may head up March 30th which is a Friday, early morning. I have that day off Govt. Jobs ftw!

Link: https://www.recreation.gov/camping/i...O&parkId=75486

Fairly certain most of you have been through already, it's a koo spot I like to hit it's about 2-3 miles inside along the Yuba river. Wheeling can happen there as the trail for Fodryce and Signal are accessible from there. Little update on the trails I've been through, there are water crossings that are decently high. I'm on 35s and water covered my tires just to give you an idea. I welcome anyone who wants to come and have no problem camping in the snow. Elevation is about 5000 and as long as it doesn't heat up too much there will be snow. Later in the week or possibly next week if anyone wishes to join and needs to know how to get there I"ll post the route the area or I can come out to the staging area and lead from there. Hope to see y'all out there.

Hey!

I'm ready to go again, but not sure too soon. I changed my exhaust and I finally got my winch in and some trail equipment e.i. straps/bigger shovel. Just came back from Tahoe last weekend and I can say I did a lot better this time, haha.

I really have no preference on where we go, just hope some better planning happens this time.
