im a nubbie but...ill be down just about any weekend...meeting up for some food then a simple trail sounds good too.
Haven't actually taken the 4runner off- road as of yet but was thinking of doing something this weekend.

The meet never happened. Would anyone be interested in trying to set up a new date for a meet?

How about a meet and work gathering up at Sly Park on Dec. 1 with Friends of Eldorado to trim some brush. It will be easy to get to, and is a very necessary chore.
I got this info from them:
IT'S AWN!!!
December 1st will be the first FOE work-party in ELDO National Forest!
We need at least 30 volunteers to help clear brush off a route in the MIT/Iron Mountain road area. We also need people to BBQ and provide support to the work-crew.
PLEASE HELP!
It's not EXCITING per se....however, you could be a part of the FIRST FOE work party!
We have many other projects in the planning stage for next year, from dismanting a old cabin underneath Baltic Ridge fire tower to installing Bear boxes by Wright's Lake!
SHOW THE PUBLIC THAT THE OHV COMMUNITY DOES CARE ABOUT OUR FORESTS!!!
Please visit www.friendsofeldorado.com and join FOE in order to get more info!
Also visit: www.pirate4x4.com/landuse
Oh yeah, and subscibe to CRAWL!

thats not a bad idea, probably could get a run in also. But unfortunately I would have had knee surgery the week prior to that so I would be MIA that weekend recovery at home. But for everyone else that sounds like an option.

I'm headding out of Woodland Friday somtime after my oldest son gets outta school (after 2:20) and returning Saturday late afternoon... he's going to help work!!! We're going to find a BIG campsite off of the HWY 50 Sly Park exit that I've been told is 12 miles from the work site.
Let me know if anyone is interested.

hey guys, i've been surfing here for more than 8 months and didn't know there's a norcal section here at all....
well anyway, good to see there's a sac meet topic..... do you guys want to have a place to meet up and eat or more like a place to sit and drink and chat, possible some night photo shooting of all 4R? let me know if any suggestion.
not trying to promote any business here but just an option, if you guys just want a place to hang out with some drinks and snacks.... i own a Tapioca Express (boba drink) in Natomas (next to arco arena). so if it sounds an option to you guys, let me know, if not no biggie, cuz i still want to attend a meet with all all of the 4R members.
