Thats good to know there is a tech on this forum nearby. If i ever need anything i will ask you first. Do you work at one of the dealers around here?
It is an old school range rover next door. The guy also has a brand new range rover that he said cost like 86000. I still say my runner in nicer. And i doubt he would wheel either of them.
I would also only want something mild-moderate. I dont wheel very often so i dont want to go out and beat on her.

:awais: Hey I'm from Sac too! Cool to see more of us around here.
I'm up for a meet and wheel sometime. I have an '04 SR5 Runner with the V8 and just love it. Right now it's stock with the 17" wheels. I've taken it on some good 4WD only roads and it has performed really well. It would be nice to have some more clearance though. I don't do anything too extreme, like I used to in my '93 4x4 Toyota Truck, in this ride........yet. It's still a little too new to beat up really bad.

I'm trying to become a member of CCMG, such a great bunch of people. But if any of you guys want to go wheeling, and something safe for a SUV, post a thread here. In the next month or so, I'm going out to test the trails outside of Foresthill. I'll post when I'm going and any of ya'all that want to come along is fine by me. I know I can drag/talk Joe into coming along with me. Oh and if you have or know someone who has, a CB only adds to the fun of this trip!!

Wow, glad to see a lot of folks from the Sacramento area. We had that get-together a couple months ago out in Natomas and had a great time.
As for me, I hardly go off-road. Do not really have the time to go.

Well what do you guys think of doing this run next Saturday? Let's get out and enjoy our 4Runners!
And for pete's sake, those of you with 4WD and never use it, shame on you! You're supposed to engage that gear box at least once a month! Looks like there is limited brush, so no worries on scratches. We can always bring our hedge loppers and do some gardening anyway...just in case.
So....Sat the 21st anyone! I'll volunteer to be trail leader!
Let's do either of these, Joe had a great idea.

Sounds good to me. But details please. Just where is this? I grew up in Nevada County, and I confess, I've never heard of this. But I never explored some of the trails off Hwy 20 above Nevada City.

Im in sac also. I am working in west sacramento. I would be down on a moderately easy trail to ride. I have a pretty much stock 4Runner.
