nobody checks these forums enough. I'm 2wd with a 4cylinder and a 5sp manual, I can't relate to off roading or any other awesome true 4runner shit.

I can however drink tons of booze and talk about celebrities I wanna ****.

Well then here's an idea. We can meet somewhere close enough to a trail where even a stock vehicle can get in. Have a BBQ, enjoy the beautiful area, and then those of us with 4x4 can go play. I'll have extra seats and would be more than happy to have some ride alongs! I know a trail up in the Sierras called Signal peak. It has two trails actually up to the peak. One is easy the other is moderate. It used to be harder but I've heard people have been moving rocks. Or say with winter coming, meet at Mormon Immigrant trail. Hot toddys, bbq, kids (and big kids) can inner tube in the snow, and again, the higher up you go on the road the more snow you find.

As long as 80/50 aren't closed to 2wd, it sounds like a plan. I'm a mountain biker so could definitely find some trails out there I could ride next to you guys on

Very rarely do they close the highways during the day. I was thinking more of a day after a good snow fall. Although going out DURING a storm is lots of fun too. This is MagnumFan and I last winter on Mormon Immigrant Road.

Top of Signal Peak....easy route.

Yes I caught the "2WD" part of your post. I learned how to drive in snow like that with a 2WD. I had to relearn with 4WD!!

I used to take my 97 4Runner into snow like that in Colorado. You just need to know how to not get stuck. Oh and #1 is tires. So heck yeah I wouldn't put you into a situation to get stuck. Trust me, I hate digging out snow but it is fun to play in.

Single peak easy route is just that....gravy! And beautiful. These were just suggestions for places for a meet. And a play area for kids and adults alike. And if the consensus was for somewhere like these places, you don't have to go play. Like I said, I'm cool for ridealongs. And to pass on what others have taught me.

Nor Cal Wheelin?

I'm new to this site and to wheeling in the area. Would be up for a trip in the new year. Holidays keeping me busy for now but sometime after the first week of January.... anyone around and interested? I know of a few trails from some other sites and few 4x4 books but would love going with someone who has been out there before.

Hello all,

don't mean to hijack this thread but seems like the easiest way to get all the norcal folks attention since there are only two pages of posts on the regional section. I am looking for someone to help me out with doing a rotor replacement on my '94 4runner 4wd. Please reply in this thread:

http://www.toyota-4runner.org/no-cal...nt-rotors.html

Thanks in advance and I hope I can contribute back to this community in the future
