Adding Upper Control Arms to our Toyota 4Runners has a couple of benefits to this upgrade. First off, The OEM bushings mounted towards the frame of the truck is upgraded to Custom Machined Polyurethane Bushings which has LESS deflection than the soft OEM rubber, this increases handling performance giving you a tighter steering response. Secondly, Both the Geometry to clear the coil buckets along with increased castor and Strength of the Chromoly Arms make it stronger than stock. Finally, Additional downtravel is gained when pairing these upper control arms with an extended coilover.

ICON Vehicle Dynamics has developed an on vehicle adjustable billet aluminum upper control arm system for the 07+ Toyota FJ Cruiser platform. These trucks were designed and built for on or off-road use, but have plenty of room for improvement like any factory vehicle. The weak OEM ball joints present problems by limiting usable suspension travel. The new billet aluminum arms use 1” PTFE lined all stainless uniballs combined with our 17-4 stainless taper pin adapters to increase the upper arms misalignment, allowing for smooth bump and droop wheel travel without worrying about factory ball joint bind. You can maximize your available wheel travel by combining these uniball arms with our 2.5 extended travel coil over shocks. This billet aluminum uniball upper controla arms with our ICON 2.5 coil over shocks will make a huge increase in the performance and handling of your Toyota FJ Cruiser. Unique to no other FJ upper control arm on the market, these have on vehicle adjustable rod ends to allow for easy alignment adjustment in minutes not hours. Yes there are OPTIONS to choose from. Some trucks are built different from the factory and have different alignment tolerances or can differ from the stock coil bucket.
