Northern CA trails?
Im traveling in Northern CA right now, and would REALLY love to find a nice easy trail / service road in a sequoia or redwood forested area where we could drive up and spend the night and drive back out the next day.
While Ive been a dirtbiker most of my life Google is betraying me and only giving me dirtbiking single track trails whereas Im looking for something wider for the truck
TIA

a book store in the area that you will be going might have an ohv trail map or ohv trail guide. i live in sacramento and have seen ohv trail maps at B&N book stores they look like a road map and have all of the ohv parks and trails listed dont know if you could find a CA trail guide in TX but it might be worth a look! i know this is not what you were looking for but this might be a good push in the right direction!

While your in SF!
You have to go to ikes place! The best deli sandwhich you will ever have!! In suggest getting the cryptonite it's 20 bucks but itsnhuge! And when I say huge i mean you get 2 big a$$ sandwiches.
If ya go up to lake county this weekend you can come party at my bros with me and hit up Boggs it's a "demonstration forest" about 200 acres and there's an off road trail nothing special just a little rock pit and if your rig can't make it you can go up the hill next to it decent driver test if you have open diffs and no lift. Aside from that trail you can just cruise around and and if ya see somethin ya wanna drive up ya go for it... Plus there's a gun range and camp grounds.
Anyways pm me if youd wanna do some daytime Halloween trails or somethin I'll be headin up there Sunday afternoon

Nor Cal is a big place, so specifics would be nice. You say you are in SF, but how far are you willing to drive? Where are you going next? Tahoe is awesome and has lots of nice trails, but is a few hours away. I'm not sure of any small easy trails up there, but there has to be a bunch. Hopefully someone more north can help you out.

If you are heading up 101 you can hit cow mountain out side of Ukiah. I dont know of much on the west side of the Central Valley. If you head up on the west side of the valley there are a whole lot of national forests and BLM land which have roads for days running through them that are fun to travel.

Drive out towards Yosemite then take Cherry Lake Rd to Evergreen Rd, this is a beautiful back road into Hetch Hetchy, there are tons of forest roads all through there that you can drive through/camp
Stanislaus forest surrounds Yosmite and has tons of forest roads as well, just turn off one and go to town!
