Celebrating our 20th Anniversary early, my wife and I took a 2,500 mile round trip to the San Jaun Mountains in Colorado last week. It was the first test for the newly purchased 150,000 mile 4Runner and new lift/tires....We spent our first night in a Durango B&B and started the trip off with a little white water kayaking....good fun. Next night spent in a Ouray B&B...woke up hit Mouse's coffee and headed up Imogene. Spent some time diagnosing a "rattle" in the front, passenger tire area (later discovered it was the brake pads moving - took it to Telluride Tire - better safe than sorry on these roads)....Other than that, the 4 runner performed great! Next few days in Telluride were spent in the Mountain Village at a great hotel....played golf at 9,500' then did a bit of Fly Fishing on the San Miguel River. Some more exploring, a couple's massage and our trip was complete.
Here's a pic on top of Imogene Pass.
