Saw your pics on the other forum. Nice job!

Now the questions:
How did you find out that the Prado version would fit?
I know you had to customize the bottom plates but did you have to modify the bumper (width or top) or the T4R (fenders/hood/grille)?
Or did you modify the fit ("behind the scenes") by adjusting the mounting brackets/points?
Give us some details man! Some fitment pics around the top view (fenders and grille would be nice.)
Thanks.

I found about Prado by doing a research for couple month and talking to ARB-USA and ARB Headquarters in Australia.
The bumper was heavy modified: wings, skids, upper plates, inside design.
No, I didn't do any mods to the truck itself. I don't want to do it, so that why bumper was heavy modified.
I'll try to shoot some detail pictures this weekend.

Just received my ARB today. It shipped from Seattle on Thursday, and arrived in Evansville, IN this morning (Wednesday). Pretty darn quick. I haven't opened the crate yet, but I have read the instructions. The instructions tell us to cut a strip out of the original plastic bumper to use as a gap filler between the ARB and the grille. Not sure I like that idea, as the thought of wasting that expensive Toyota bumper seems like a big deal just for a gap filler. So I may have to rig something up....

There is an alternative way. If you'll wait till tomorrow, I'll post what I've done.

Yeah, I can wait. I'll be very interested to see your solution.

Installing this thing looks a bit more complicated than the one I had on my 80. That install took about 45 minutes at a relaxed pace.

Between taking off the original bumper, drilling holes, filling gaps, swapping bulbs, painting, trimming, installing the bumperettes, installing the fog lights, skid plate, blah, blah, blah this looks like a half day job (working slowly, of course). I probably won't get to it until later this weekend.

It looks like they addressed the DRL issue by swapping the 21 watt turn signal bulbs for 10 watt bulbs. I wonder about that. I'm probably either going to leave my DRL's disabled or put some LEDs in there.

Oddly, the instructions say to wire the running light and the turn signal in parallel. I guess they intend for both to be on at the same time. I'm not sure I'll be doing that either....

I used my 21W for DRL. No issues. If you going to combine two lamps in parallel, the you have to change the bulb.
If you go with LED, don't forget to add a resistor, otherwise you turn signals will be too flashy.

Gah, I wouldn't cut up the stock bumper cover... and what do they want you to paint? I'm glad I got the Shrockworks bumper!

No need to cut the stock bumper. There is a way.

Painting. You have to paint inside fenders in black if you have light colored truck. This means that you wouldn't see your original color in the gap between fender and bumper. I'd it also optional. You can do it or leave it as is. I have black truck and I didn't paint anything. After adjusting the bumper height I hardly notice the metal behind the gap, so it all your choice paint or not. Remember that I have "Special Edition" bumper, not the one you have, so your wings may have different shape with different gap.
I think with Shrokworks it will be the same story. Jim just didn't mentioned it, because it's actually very hard to see that part which has to be painted.

Is this gap filler just for the '06 since it had a slightly different front design or is it for all the model years? Do they even make a distinction for the install between the '06 and the other years?

This has to be done for 2003-2005 model. 2006 has a different grille design and might not need it.

That's modified LandCruiser Bar to fit 4th Gen. 4Runner.
