Doing Holcomb valley road tomorrow

Hello people, I’m going up to Holcomb valley tomorrow for some wheeling. Anyone been there lately? Well I have a 2014 trail edition and a buddy with a Silverado 4x4 lifted and a Colorado z71 stock. My runner is stock by the way except for the sweet husky floor liners they’ll get me out of anything.

All kidding aside, this is my second runner and did a 14 year stint as a Land Rover guy so I’ve been wheeling for a while. Just never had anything I trusted to bring me home from big bear. I got bfg k02’s, a compressor, my recovery kit, and snow chains.

Any tips would be awesome, planning on starting the trail at 8:30-9am if anyone is in the area.

Not sure if your trolling or not but I'll bite. Under dry conditions Holcomb valley road can be driven in a Camry, it's really easy and scenic. Under wet conditions a stock 4x4 should have no problems especially with 2 vehicles and some basic recovery gear just in case

**Mods maybe move this to proper forum

I can see it being boring on dry conditions, it’s just a fire road but I had some first timers following me and it was great. Thick snow the whole 26 miles, just lots of fun. I don’t know what trolling is, I will do my best to post more trips and start modding out the runner. I go out very often mainly taking my dirt bike out at Gorman but it’s time to work on the runner.
