So talking the 31st, Labor day weekend? I'm pretty sure I can swing it, but I need to verify with my free babysitter, really any of Sat-Mon would be doable, Sat/Mon would be better, but I think I can make all 3 work with some notice.

Hey guys do you know where I can get an alignment done? I would like to give it to a shop that knows what they are doing with lifted trucks.
Just got my 3" Dobinsons lift installed with SPC UCAs
Thanks,

Went to RRRP McHenry on Sunday for the first time with the 4Runner and my buddies Trailhawk. Super muddy, decently deep water. Planning on going when its a bit drier.

I really wanted to but the trailhawk kept getting stuck. I saw some videos when it was dry out and it looked like there was a foot of water. It probably was pretty deep that day.
Wish we got more videos but there was so many mosquitoes out there we would open the window or door and you'd have 30 mosquitoes inside. Definitely didn't expect that.

Haha. Yeah there痴 some deep water back there. I知 sure it痴 pretty fun with all the rain we致e been getting.
I知 sure he痴 riding on the stock Firestone AT tires right? He probably would have messed his rig up back there. The trails are tight and steep in parts. He very well may have slid into a tree or not made a big hill that痴 back there. It痴 a blast though.
And yeah, these mosquitoes are out of control. I had the same issue there and pretty much any of these remote off road parks. I keep bug spray in my tool box for that reason.

Yea I didnt mean to do that! Was trying a new line. Cutting across that section was a nightmare for everyone, kept sliding . I went high the first time on that back trail, but I had to go back because the trailhawk got stuck. A TRD Pro got stuck in the same spot as we were leaving.

Cliffs Insane Terrain
Call me crazy, but I was thinking of going and testing out my new winch and truck at the Cliffs Insane Terrain Park the weekend after X-mas. Most likely looking at the 28th, I know I'm a week out but looks like the weather might be in the 40s.
Would welcome anyone from the group, the more the merrier!

I致e been to the badlands but never the cliffs, are there easy trails there? I don稚 have a winch or a lift yet.
I might head to River Road on the 29th, if anyone is interested. Hopefully try the back trail since it was soupy AF last time

Ive been to cliffs a handful of times on my atv, never been with the 4runner. Cliffs is notoriously wet with hard clay, thats why we hated atving there. But we did see a few Jeeps riding around every trip. They have some pretty gnarly trails and changes in elevation so I assume its not a walk in the park type of place for our 4runners. Obviously I will attempt only trails I am confident with especially for my first time.
I think I'm still going to aim for the 28th at the Cliffs. I have plans for the 29th. But if they fall through I will gladly join you at River Road. I will keep in touch!

Northern Illinois 4Runner Group
I知 going to check my schedule but I may be down for the 28th.
The trails at the Cliffs have become pretty intensely rutted out in a lot of spots. Last time I went alone, it was tough to read where the trails were and I didn稚 wanna overcommit being solo.
That said, there are definitely trails that are more relaxing but will still challenge you. I forget the trail letters but you basically take the trails that start to the right when you池e looking at the building if you池e looking for something more like river rock than mud.
As for the McHenry park, I致e never been in that back trail that hasn稚 been totally soupy. Nonetheless, I made it through no problem and it was fun. If you池e super close to it like me (10 minute drive), it痴 good for blowing off some steam. Otherwise the cliffs is worth the drive because there痴 just so much more to do.
