What an amazing trip! My son and I had an absolute blast!
Great weather, trails, scenery - and an ever better group of people!
Thanks to the trail scouts that helped coordinate the trip and to the entire group for guiding me along. So glad I went for day two and hit the harder trail.
Now I only need just more mod, or two, or....

Great meeting everyone! That was a good time while the runner lasted, then again once I finally rolled into camp.
Here's a link to the pics I took of everyone's rig going over some of the rocks: https://ibb.co/album/cP0Nva
If you haven't used imagebb, just select the pics you want, click "Action," then "Get embedded codes," and you can post the HTML links to the forum to post the pics. I use the "HTML medium linked" option so they're not massive.
There are also some pics my brother took from the cab of my truck on my build thread here: Woody's '01 Build/Trip Thread
Let me know if y'all want any of those and I can throw them onto the album as well.
Next step is installing the trans cooler for the next trip!

Had an awesome time and big thanks to
@ carlos.elmotor
and
@ gfxcruncher
for setting this up!
I concur with what everyone else said. Great to see everyone from previous trips and great to meet new faces this year. I hope to see you guys again.
Sadly I didn't get to take any photos on the second day at Bald mountain, but have a few at Flagpole Knob.
I'm slowly adding the photos I took on the trip to my flickr account.

If you guys want any of the photos, let me know and I'll send them to you.

Curious for future trips and plans to do these trails... Does this trip really give that much pinstriping/rash?
My 4th gen looked a lot closer to your pics but my 5th gens paint is in pretty decent shape. lol

Hey
@ pDubs
not sure what you’re asking...
The trail on day 2 (Bald Mtn/Big Levels) was definitely a lot tighter and prob where the majority of the rash/scratches happened for most all that went.
The photos in my prev. post were beforehand (a years worth of running trails and 3x up Bald Mtn trail) I definitely got a few more from this trip. I’ll let everyone else chime in on what they thought.
We try to vary the trails for each trip, some are tighter than others, but we always try to find some fun stuff

Seems to be part of the deal in an east coast forest. The trails may actually be tighter in the spring with growth, but sometimes fresh leaves help smooth the branches. Tough to predict what you will get. I will say my fun meter pegged over my worry meter.
I only gave my truck a quick wash after the trip, but mine is white which seems to hide the stripes. It didn’t look bad at all.

Oh yeah, I have plenty of pin stripes from last years Canaan trip, that I haven't buffed out, and added a few more from this trip. I've accepted the fact that it's going to happen and isn't entirely avoidable. Although, I do appreciate
@ Zipper
for breaking branches were he could while following behind him on Bald Mountain.
@ BurghRunner
I uploaded a few videos of you while I was behind you going up to Flagpole to my google drive.

Just getting back on here, just wanted to say I had a great time meeting/seeing everyone of the weekend and thanks for helping out both on Friday afternoon with the rear shock! That said I have been putting off getting an impact wrench and have been getting away with it but I think it's officially on the list now...

It was last year, ended up going to WV and VA for the weekend. These are a GREAT time, I have done the last 2 and look forward to it every year. My only concern this year is recommended quarantine (my kids' school is more restrictive, to include all out of state travel), but otherwise i'm down. Sadly, my 3rd gen won't be making the trip this time, but i think it's replacement will do just fine..
