Got a new laptop, what GPS ?

Hey all,
I just got a new laptop (HP Probook 6475b) to use with GPS on the trails.
Which nav / topo maps do you recommend?

Seems there are so many to chose from lol.
Im thinking about this antenna, but Im open for suggestions, https://www.thegpsstore.com/USGlobal...SABEgLGnvD_BwE

Also, Once I download the maps to the laptop, what else will I need?

Sorry for sounding like a noob, but Im new to this Im use to paper topo maps lol Im getting a headache from all the reading lol
Thanks in advance.

Personally I use GaiaGPS for maps/navigation (aside from BaseCamp with my GPSMAP64s). The basic subscription is cheap as dirt for the functionality you get and it all works perfectly.

Using a Bad Elf GPS for Lightning dongle on an iPad6 and very happy with it. It's more expensive than the unit you referenced but it's a proven entity and the product works perfectly. Uses GPS and GLONASS sats, app is robust and simple to use, customer service is stellar.

Im also a big Gaia fan, however Im not sure it usable on a laptop for tracking and location services. The Web browser is nice to review, plan and share GPS data. There is not pc program that would allow you to download map data. This program is designed for app use on IOS and android devices only I believe. See screenshot below.
