For trips to Rausch Creek or AOAA, we tend to stay at Twin Grove Campground this time of year. Its close to RC, but about a 35 minute ride to AOAA from there. They have cabins to rent too, which is nice.

I know I am a little late to the party, but would definitely join you gents with my 4R if you were coming to Pa. My Jeep club has even run RC one day, and AOAA the next.

My 4R has done quite a bit of RC greens and blues, but has not spent any time at AOAA yet. My Jeep has been all over both places though.

Where's the camp location in GWNF? I think I'm in for the daytrip, but camping will depend on how long it takes to get back home

Bummed to hear it, but totally understand. Hope you all have a safe trip, great holiday, and we'll look forward to hopefully catching you next year.

Thanks for the data re: Twin Grove Andy. Much appreciated. Please let us know if you're interested in joining us this year and we'll add you to the list.

Folks coming from Pittsburgh: Feel free to PM me about coordinating a caravan to the meet point. Also open to maybe hitting up Quebec Run the night before and using the extra time to take roads less traveled to the meet point.

PM sent!

Completely understand if camp is too far. We were going back and forth between Green Ridge SF in Maryland vs GWNF, but ultimately settled on GWNF because it gave us the option for a 2nd day of trails on Sunday AND ensured that a longtime friend from the Norfolk/VA Beach area could make the trip.

Ok folks, I think I've caught up on the thread and replied where appropriate.

The first post is updated and the change log indicates what moved around.

I'll post coordinates and meeting times for Saturday morning rally points in a week or two.

In the interim, let us know you have any follow-up questions or concerns.

Also, please think about how you're going to bring a bundle of firewood with you to share with the group. Having some dry wood keeps the fire going easily (and hot) and if everyone brings a small amount, it balances out the effort out pretty well.

-----
One final note for anyone trying to decide whether you'd like to join us this year:

The trip is capped at 10 vehicles and as of tonight we're at 8 confirmed trucks.

For any English majors out there that means "2 slots left"

Looking forward to it and see you all soon!

With December now here, I'm getting really excited for this trip. Hard to believe 2 years ago was the beginning of it all for me. Met a lot of good people and had a lot of great adventures since then, @carlos.elmotor definitely got me hooked!

As for Sunday, I'm definitely planning on doing some trails before heading home, so count me in on that.

Depending on my work schedule Friday, I may head out and camp somewhere close to Canaan to get an extra night out. We'll see how that goes.

Understood an will add you to the "Confirmed" list. No worries on camp, it's a bit of a hike to get down there.

Looking forward to catching up!
