Paint or Powder coat?

Hey all,
I'm going to be getting a high clearance bumper (lil B's) and I really can't decide to paint it or powder coat it.
In the past, I've always just painted things like sliders and armour but I was always touching them up. With a high clearance bumper, I dont really see me draging it on rocks, but who knows LOL.
When I've painted skids and sliders Ive always used the cheapest paint cause I knew, I would draging them on rocks and needing to touch them up, but with the bumper, Im not sure.
Please share your thoughts or experience, remember this will be a high clearance front bumper.
Thanks in advance.

I also have a Lil B's bumper on the way. I plan on powder coating mine. That would be my suggestion.

For a bumper, powder coating is just worth it.

Why? Ive heard lots of stories where, if the coating in bad, then you'll get bubbling and the powder coating will start to peal off. With paint you could easily touch it it..

I am leaning towards the powder coating, but worried about it pealing later and whats the cost? Im waiting to get a couple quotes.

BTW my Victory 4x4 winch bumper will be for sale soon lol

I have Demello and RCI powdercoated products. I also spray painted my tire carrier. There is no comparison. Powdercoating is a much thicker and more durable product. It's worth the money.

My front and rear are powder coated, and I'm very glad I did it. Small rocks, trail debris, branches - all that shit is gonna tear off paint and you'll be touching up often. If I ever need to touch up it will be easy to get to and semi gloss spray matches perfectly.

Ive heard and seen, if, the powered coating starts to go, (or its not done right) its over and has to be blasted again and either painted or coated again.
Im at such a loss here,, on all my 4runners Ive always painted, and yes Ive always touched up the sliders and skids lots lol, I use them lol.
I am leaning towards coating the bumper as Im "hoping" I wont be dragging it on the rocks lol

I appreciate everyone's input

I could see that being a pain for sure. Maybe the place you get it from can offer some sort of warranty?

I will add that I paint my sliders, because I also use the heck out of 'em lol.

I powder coat everything, holds up well depending on what type of trailing you do. Would recommend powder coating for sure.

I actually like the look of fresh spray paint over powdercoat, especially the wrinkle style powdercoat. Not thanks.

Its basically free, and I've got a decent sized area to paint stuff on. So might as well use spray paint.

I know I'm a little late to this party but I was curious if anyone has used the epoxy paints?
They are super tough on what I've used them on so far but I haven't tried using them on armor.
Should be the best of both worlds, heavier and tougher than spray paint but easier to touch up as needed.
