Looking to upgrade suspension, maybe Fox 2.5 DSC?

Just upgraded my 3rd gen to a 4th gen V8 Limited and am in the market to upgrade this beast. Researching new suspension with the goal of having something fully adjustable, as I do a mix of daily driving, towing, and mild off-roading (no racing). I love the Fox 2.5 DSC kit for its adjustability - does anyone have experience with it? I know this kit is great for off-road, how does it compare to stock plushness for daily driving when dialed for it?

I have been looking at everything (again) over the last 2 weeks as I need new rears and, down the road, new fronts.

If adjustability is your primary criterion, it will go like this:

1. Bilstein 8112/8100, OME BP-51.
2. Dobinsons MRA and Icon 2.5 with Omega rears.
3. Fox 2.5DSC
4. King, Radflo, regular Icon 2.5 with adjusters
5. Fox 2.0 LSC

The first place entries are bypass front and rear. If you are mostly street, the Bilstein is way overkill. BP-51 is adventure, not performance, so better fit and cheaper. But servicing may be pricier and harder.

The best entry for the described use could be the Dobs MRA. It comes with 3-way adjustability front and rear. Only Dobs offers rebound adjustability outside the #1 entries. It will be very good in CO mountain conditions and will be able to handle any speed you are likely to throw at it. It is also reasonably priced.

The Fox 2.5 DSC, if tuned softly, should be excellent on the street. But at 2,100 for the front and 1,350 for the rear, this is close to the Bilstein 8000-series while not in the same league.

I was in fact very close to the 2.5DSC until I ran a price comparison to the 8000 series. Since the latter are bypass shocks with integrated high-end bump stops, the Fox actually costs more (with added bump stops).

In sum, the Fox will require tuning for you (Accutune?) and will be pricey without allowing as much adjustability as the much cheaper Dobinsons MRA or offering the top of the line setup anymore. But, yes, everyone says the Fox 2.5DSC performs great, so there is that, too.
