2016 Trail. I help run the Los Padres Forest Association and we maintain the trail network in the forest. Part of that includes surveying forest roads for the Forest Service. These roads alway have lots of brush to drive thru. On average it takes me about 6 hours to buff out the pinstriping to an acceptable state after each trip. I have professional detailing equipment and experience.
So armor at $550 (+/-) was a no brainer, if it worked.
Packaging: Packaging and the cutting out of panels was a piece of cake using the supplied utility knife. I order gloss silver with no design. Color match to classic silver isn’t even close, and was told it wouldn’t be, but nonetheless it looks fine.
Fitment: Everything fit without issue. The gaps between magnetic panels was more than I liked and the shape of the panels were interesting to me in some spots. Seems like technology would support a smaller gap between panels but guessing due to contours of the body panels, the gaps are necessary for solid adhesion.
Do they work: Worked amazingly well. I’ll have to buff out some scratches still but probably an hours work instead of 6 and for the value of my time these pay for themselves after the first use.
Storage tip: They stick flat to the backside of the garage door!
For comparison I attached a picture of my buddy’s truck to show what kind of brushing occurs on these trails. Compare his truck to mine. Panels have marks from the brush but not damage to the surface/punctures.
Yea - I’ve got a black truck and last two trail ride I got bad scratches. They said they have a 4th gen plan and I’m on hiatus from trail rides until I get mine

Would you mind posting a picture with the armor next time you put it on your truck? I have a silver 2013 and was thinking of getting a set without a design. None of the available design choices appeal to me that much but I wasn't sure what it would like like without.
