Moab hells revenge 175’s and 2”lift

I’ll be headed to Moab in 2 weeks, May 15 weekend and I’ve always wanted to do Hells Revenge in my 4runner. I’ve grown up with a Jeep’s and have been in most trails in Moab, so I know that a slightly higher than stock 4runner with 175’s will come out with some battle wounds. I think Hells Revenge is an easier trail compared to a lot of the trails where big tires are a must and a lot trails do have alternative routes for the mean stuff.

There was a YouTube guy that did the trail in a stock SR5. Scrapped the back bumper is all that I remember.

Anyways, any suggestions or tips on day trails or your experience in Moab with a 4runner? Not looking to “wheel” as much, but a few bumps and sight seeing would be cool too.

I also have the predator OEM step rails so those will probably interfere a bit.

I do have a gobi rack though

If anyone is going that weekend might be fun to meet up. I’m novice/intermediate at wheeling, but advanced being a passenger back in the day!

I wondered the same thing, and googled it yesterday.

The best answer I could find was Cibié 175 fog lights.

Thinking he might have mis-typed and meant to say 275’s.....as in tire size.

I have been to sightsee and "wheel" in Moab in my 14 trial both bone stock and lifted on 285s and have done hells revenge on both setups. Hells revenge is really not that technically difficult, it's more of a mind game. Now I would super encourage not doing the triple threat stock and by yourself, that being poison spider, gold crack, and gold bar trails. Your stock rig can also handle fins and things just down sand flats road from the entrance to Hell's revenge.

If you're looking to sightsee I super recommend SR-128 north of town alongside the Colorado. Some of the most beautiful highway driving I have done, just don't forget to keep an eye on the road. Also if you take that road onion creek is off that road. Onion Creek is a gorgeous road without the rocks and ledges of Top of the world. You also get the chance to drive through the many stream crossing.

I would also recommend Hurrah Pass on the West side of town. It is also a dirt track with a hand full of spots that have a couple of bumpy parts. But if you in a 4wd 4runner it's a dirt road. Once at the top of the pass you can look over the canyon to the famous potash mine and see the colors. You also get an amazing view of Canyonlands to the southwest.

But with all that said, I think I scratch my stock truck setup on the bottom of one of the bumpers and the tailpipe on Hell's revenge.
When in doubt get out and look. Also just take it easy and take more water than you think you need.

Have fun.

I'd remove those predator steps. They'll get catch on every boulder out there.
