Toytec lifts / spring questions

How come nobody ever talks about them , seems like they have quite a few options for the 4th Gen's.

I'm not sure if any of them are Xreas compatible.

On a 4th gen , why could you not just get some longer springs , like some OME instead of spacers ??

Which would enable you to tweek your ride quality
with different type of springs ?????

You absolutely can get longer springs instead of spacers. I just installed a set of custom ordered rear springs that are 1" longer than stock & 15% stiffer. The work great.

LC springs are a common swap for a few inches of lift on 3rd gen Runners, should work for 4th gen too.

Maybe because of the Xreas ??

Xreas or not , I dont understand why you could not swap out springs ??

Chalk , a lot easier with the SR5 and no xreas. I like the benefits of my Sport package but wonder how much different the Xreas helps over the NON X.

Falls - Yes, way easier without Xreas. I basically replaced the shocks & springs all the way around and am real happy with the result. I haven't driven a Xreas 'runner so I really don't know how it differs from non. I found the stock SR5 suspension very soft and would bottom out on a speed bump. Mo' betta now.

Man , mine has never bottomed out.

I would love to do that swap. Just so much easier ...

Back is pretty easy to mod it's the front that could be holding us back? I would love to get something more than a spacer up front.

I run an OME spring in the back and cut down the spacer 1 inch to get the custom lift height. So that would make it about 5 inches over stock unloaded. No matter how much I load it up it will never sag lower than the front.

Your running the OME springs and Revtek spacers with Xreas?

if you do a search many has done the OME setup and took out the XREAS. From what I've read the OME seems to handle better then with the XREAS system.
I am planning on getting the OME setup soon. Only cause I want a lift on the runner. to me it sits to low for a SUV.

With crozhawk's help I just installed the OME springs and struts all the way around and I couldn't be happier with it onroad and off. the ride is great. I don't miss the xreas. I used medium springs.

I have a Daystar spacer lift, which is great but I am going one better and have ordered front & rear OME springs to go along with the spacers. And I am replacing my rear stock shocks also.

yeah I asked that question too, you won't want the spacers with the springs. The springs will give you the same life the spacers are giving you now. spacers and springs will overstress everything. you might be able to get away with a 1/2 inch spacer in the front for an additional inch of lift, but I'd recommend a diff drop kit if you do that, probably not necessary though.

Might have to revise my order and upgrade to a full lift from OME instead. And not use the Daystar with the OME. Thanks for the heads up on that.

on your daystar comfort lift is that the 2.5 front and 1.5 rear. Where did you buy it from and how much did you pay. Wanna sell them to me so you can get OME's.

by the way your box is full
