For those with upgraded susp. and larger tires; how often do you hit WOT?
As in Wide Open Throttle.
I dont think I have since my truck has been lifted and most def. not since i got the mtr's on.
I actually drive more like a granny now than ever, maxing out around an indicated 65 mph ( maybe closer to 70 actually) on the highway.
Just curious

I think you need to visit the doctor!! Your manhood is slipping away!!!
I know what you mean though, lifted rigs are for offroad performance mostly, so flooring it around town is just silly unless you need to overtake or something.

Hmmm...whys that?
I have a 2/1 cornfed on order... and well, right now I drive slowly because of gas prices... but I don't want to lose my ability to fly if I want to.

Yeah I noticed that since I got my lift I too drive a little slower, maybe its because i'm not as low to the ground anymore or I'm just getting older and over it......

Well, I didnt notice so much with just the lift, but now with the meats im a slow roller basically. I mean, I could haul ass, but I dont want too :-D
I would say that typically my truck changes gears around 1800 rpm, i might need to reconfirm this.
any way thats OT.

to keep the pulse of the offroad forum above 1 post/ 3 days:
How often do you guys use the OTHER gears (L->4)
I like to mess around with L when im locked and in 4lo just to see what she can do under her own power and speed.

Also, something that seems to kinda bother me is that when im cruising say around 35 mph, my truck will sometimes NOT upshift until i set the cruise control.
For instance, I could be cruising at 35 or 40 mph at about 2000 rpms and I know that it should be upshifting and then chilling around 12-1300 rpms, but it wont shift until i set the cruise control. kinda weird and annoying, i guess some 4.11s may fix this

Pedal to the metal all the way! I still drive it like it was a Subaru Legacy in the middle of the WRC. ;)
But of course, I only have the 44s...
And the real reason? Well it's a diesel, it barely moves unless it's floored. lol
