We've had a pretty mild, dry winter here in CO so far and I was wondering if anyone around here knows of some good spots to hit up this time of year. I don't know if some of the trails are closed this time of year by the National Forrest Service, or if they are impassible if they are open. Does anyone have a good resource (website, phone number, etc.) to find out the status of the trails?

www.colorado4x4.org is a good source, they have a thread going on, on which trails are open.

Ha, I knew that was coming!

I had actually already been to the FS website, but couldn't find any trail status info. traildamage.com doesn't seem to have updated status either, but the other two links you provided are helpful. The Colorado4x4 website seems like a good one that I have never found before. Thanks for the info!
