3"/2" lift questions
I'm considering getting a spacer kit to lift my 04. Are there any issues with suspension geometry by doing this lift with spacers? I know it will need an alignment, but beyond that?

NOne that i know of, Ive been running Cornfed 3/2 for over two years now and its holding up well

Also. I use the truck to yow a race car. Do any of you hav experience towing about 5000lbs with it lifted?

Just to confirm, you do not have the Limited Air ride system in the back correct?
The tow shouldn't be a problem. I've towed many loads of lumber/boats/4 wheelers and had no problem

I tow as well, I would reccommend OME springs with a 1-1.5" rear spacer in the back in addition to keep the factory stance.

I would consider the OME springs as well. However if you go with the OME springs there really will not be a need for the spacers. Since you cant buy just the front spacers I dont know if that would be your best route. If it was me I would just spend a little more and get the OME rear springs and shocks as well as the front OME springs and shocks. Around $780 for the whole OME setup. Its even cheaper if you go with the bilstein shock. You could also stay with your current shocks and just buy the spings from OME. This would run you around 320. I would take a longer stiffer spring over a spacer any day.

OME have different spring rates options.
You can buy just the front or rear spacers from burtmanindusties.com.
The rear OME springs are are ~2", therefore if you want to raise the front and rear equally you will need a ~1" rear spacer on top of your OME spings. I would also suggest the bilstein 5100's

I need to know what the spring rates are. My wife uses the 4Runner as a daily driver, so I can't throw a set of stiff springs on there without having an idea of how they're going to feel.
That's the biggest appeal of the spacers, the spring rate remains the same, or at least relatively close.

Im sure bt216 is probably right about buying the front and rear spacers seperatly from burtman. The OME spring rates go light to med for the rear and for the front it goes light, heavy, extra heavy as per Allpro offroad. If your serious about towing allpro make a 3.5" taller rear spring that is 20% stiffer than stock. However I am not sure what you would do with the front, as the 3" spacer from burtman is not nearly tall enough to provided a level front and rear when matched with the allpro 3.5" rear spring. Just an update, I think I've changed directions a little.
I'm currently thinking about going with Bilstein 5100s in the front, Bilstein HDs in the rear and FJ springs all around. Once we need tires again, I should be able to lift the front with the Bilsteins and then use a small spacer in the rear, so that I can run a taller tire.
Any holes in that plan?
Since Bilstein doesn't list an application for the 5100 on the 4Runner, is this the correct part no: F4-BE5-C475-H0 It's the listing for the FJ.

The part number for the FJ and the 4runner are probably the same as most of the suspension is interchangable. Im sure that you already know but the shock alone will not get you any lift in the front. You will need a taller spring or spacers in the front as well as the rear.

This makes it sounds like you do get some adjustment out of the 5100 strut.
