Rocky Mountain Off Roading
If anyone is interested there is a new forum that is pretty much all about wheelin. You guys should check it out
http://rm4wd.freeforums.org/index.php
This forum is not trying to compete with any other forums.
Theres lots of sites out there for wheeling, but most are brand related. This forum wanted one place that anyone, no matter what you drive, can post up trail runs.
Most people really dont care what you drive, they just want to go 4wheeling, camping, exploring with good people, and most people dont want to post runs up on numerous sites.
Everyone is welcome on this forum.

I'm not sure i understand the question...?
There is a link in my first post to a new forum that is not 4runner, or even toyota specific. It's for anyone that wants to join, and is focused on wheeling in the Rocky Mountains. The forum has trip planning sections, as well as sections for different models of vehicles. But as stated above, this forum is not trying to compete with other forums.

prefer the solitude I guess
Good site- is up and working now. Saw you guys did the Monument connection to Rampart Range road yesterday. Was just down there about a month back. Couple of places with sheet ice on an slope- I enjoyed the pucker factor a couple of times.
I guess I prefer to lurk along and try to meet up with people only occasionally.
Number one reason I go out to the woods is the peace and quiet. I like to see and chat with all you guys but I personally don't enjoy driving in a stream of vehicles. As a manny tranny I can slow down significantly just by coasting-had too many close calls with auto tranny guys that simply look for tail lights.
I would be glad to lead a run someday, but typically I need to be back to town (to swap or pickup kids usually) by noon or 1pm. Typically I am out of the house by 6am when I plan ahead or 9 if I don't.
Once you guys go through a divorce or 6 you'll understand how timing is always off....
I think it was ric I spotted yesterday as I headed out of town around 9am, was back to town by 3pm. And that included about an hour of recovery down time as I got myself stuck on the Wellington Lake road near Bailey.
It's hard for me to give up a full day just to meet up middle or late in the AM. Please don't take it personally. You all have taught me much and I am still learning. Also you guys take some chances/go some places with your rides that I would never do. My truck was my only vehicle until just recently. I will not risk body or paint damage except in a very controlled sense.
In a manner of speaking my 99 is too pretty to truly off road in. When I get wealthy again someday- I will likely pickup a first or second gen for true offroading-but even then it will have to be street legal. I don't believe in trailering a rig, or am not at that income level at this time and likely never will be.
An ideal run for me is 2-3 others meeting up near Evergreen/Sedalia or Central City around 6am. I enjoy seeing the sun rise and already 'being there' so I can see wildlife.
I realize this does not often mesh with others and their family situations.
I kind of loosely hang with Rising Sun for same reasons. Hauling ass quickly up a trail only 20 -30 feet behind another is not the way I enjoy nature. I go slow and typically some folks are up and back down the trail as I am still ascending. The dog gets out and runs- I take pictures and munch a sandwich....

You should edit this post, I know you listed the new one later, but unless you read some of the thread, may get confusing..
so you know too, you can now go straight to

or

the long link is no longer necessary.
