North Carolina wheelin'?

Hey all,

I'm from Maryland, but the g/f and I are planning a Holden Beach, NC vacation this summer. Anyone know of any good places to go trail riding, beach riding, etc... in that area? I don't mid driving a little ways to find it.

Thank ya,

Ryan

I don't know of any around there.

We've been going to Ocean Isle, the next beach down from Holden, for 19 years. You'll really like it down there.

You can hop on the ferry in Southport and drive on Carolina Beach.

I'm reading about Fort Fisher, NC. Apparently there are trails there?

Know anything about it?

Ocean Isle West right here... I took my first steps there...

As far as wheeling, its nothing but cotton fields around there, so doubtful you will find anything...

Green Swamp is just slightly NE of where you are going. DNR has maps.Stick to the major trails,it is not in any way friendly to people who don't pay attention to what they are doing. There will be no help close by. Primal swamp and forest. Logs are probably alligators and any large stick is probably a snake. Fascinating place you'd expect T-Rex to walk around the corner, birds and animals everywhere.

If Uhwarrie wasn't so far from there I'd say go there but it's a 3.5 hrs away.
