Question for those who like to get dirty.
A stinger bumper, what is the purpose? Keep your truck from going over forwards, or just cause it looks cool?
The Greenland rigs all have Stingers on steroids for snow and crevasse use, and a pre-runner style rig meant for highspeed running, makes sense.
A stinger also gives a spotter a place to grab and tilt the truck back if it's starting to go over backwards or sideways. A lot of spotters use a ski rope with a carabiner to quickly attach to the tube so they can pull on it.
a rope is so much safer then having to jump up on the bumper, slider, bed rail to stop your buddies truck from flopping. But having a stinger or hoops on the bumper does give a good place to mount it.I have been with Brian a time or two where we had to do that.(Stealth 4x4 on dishpan) good times.
