advice on new cpu build

so i decided to build a new computer and if anyone can give me some input or pointers i have a blu ray drive hanging around. trying for a cheaper budget rig since my laptop cant handle SWTOR. i plan on upgrading slowly. lmk what you think!
motherboard
Vid Card
PSU
processor
4 sticks of ram 8gigs total
just sticking with 500 gig Harddrive because i have a couple 1tb externals

Going to run Windows 7 64 bit on more expansion drive for 4 more usb 3.0 sockets and a cheapie media card reader. i have a old case hanging out with 4 case fans so that saves me some scratch so whattta think?

How much money are you willing to spend?

$750, $1250 or $1750?

Well a good video card will cost you $200+ but if you are willing to wait on the video card you can build a pretty good system.

$320 i7 2600k (the best right now)
Newegg.com - Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 3000 BX80623I72600K

$200 motherboard

$100 8Gb ram in (2x4)

$100 for a hard drive

= $650 after taxes.

This would be a very* fast system. Far faster than my 2.5 year old i7 920.

If you need a new PSU then you can find one pretty cheap OR just wait until you have a clean $1000 saved up and get a smoking fast video card to match for $300.

If you want a pretty good budget gaming rig, here are my recommendations:

Processor: AMD is going to be your cheaper alternative, I recommend (you already listed) the AMD Athlon II X4 630 (Quad Core, 3Ghz). $100
Newegg.com - AMD Athlon II X4 640 Propus 3.0GHz Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor ADX640WFGMBOX

Motherboard: ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 Motherboard. $115
Newegg.com - ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 AM3 AMD 880G HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Ram: 8GB Corsair DDR3-1333. $45
Newegg.com - CORSAIR XMS3 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 Desktop Memory Model CMX8GX3M2A1333C9

Video Card: Sapphire Radeon 6850. $150
Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100315L Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity

PSU: Antec NEO ECO 520C 520W Continuous Power ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply. $60
Newegg.com - Antec NEO ECO 520C 520W Continuous Power ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Solid State Drive: Crucial 64GB SSD. $110
Newegg.com - Crucial M4 CT064M4SSD2 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Run your Windows OS, most used applications and games off of the SSD. It's cheap, nothing flashy, but will get the job done and should last you a fairly decent amount of time. Total cost is $695 so far. Or you can go with your 500GB Hard Drive and skip the SSD for a total of $665. Of course it's missing a few things like fans, tower case, etc. But thats the ballpark estimate. All my recommendation and opinion by the way
