When creating your resume: cater each and every resume to the role you're applying to: If the job posting has keywords, USE THEM!
Most recruiting teams use software to cull resumes and using the right combo of keywords can get you to the top of the list.
Did you go to college to get your degree from 1992-1996? Doesn't matter what year, leave that off: You got your degree, period. Putting on dates puts an age to you. And while ageism is illegal, it happens.
A recruiter will make up their mind in the first few sentences (that's why your resume needs to be short): HOOK THEM IN THE FIRST FEW LINES.
