New England B.S. Thread

Does anyone know a member that lives or works in Somerville? I work in the Union Square area pretty often and keep seeing a lifted gray 4th gen with an arb bumber and a roof rack. I have some questions for them about their setup.

Can't say I have. Leave a note on their truck and tell them to PM you at rfuree11 on t4r.org

Is this truck you are talking about?
Oops posted wrong pic. I mean this truck

Just what suspension/tire setup he has. That's right around the amount of lift I want. We can drool over the pics of rigs on this site all day, but without seeing it in person, you never know if it's right for you. I want more clearance for wheeling, but don't want to go too high, esp since my fiancee drives it regularly too.

Pretty sure it's 3in as for tires I think he has duratracs but not positive. I'll sen a message to one of the guys that knows him and get back to you.

Much appreciated. It looked to be 2-3 inches, but I wasn't sure which one he had, as well as the tire size. I plan on getting duratracs, I'm just trying to figure out what size

Nope most are MA and NH, then a few from CT and RI and stuff. Typically we have meets in Henniker, NH. I don't know how far that is for you, but it's a whole lot of fun :)

I got on touch with him and this is what he has. Heavy duty OME lift and 285/65/16 Firestone destination M/T. Anything else just send me a PM

That is about 3.5 hrs from me. I think id be down for some wheeling this summer as long as it is fairly tame my rig is stock. There must be some good camping down there.

I live up here in the Bangor area.

Sweet, thanks for looking into it for me.

On a semi-unrelated note- I bounced off a curb last night at like 15 mph and bent by LCA and knuckle. I also destroyed my rim and tire...looks like my new set is coming sooner rather than later.

Also, does anyone know badly I'll have to trim if I get 265-70-17 duratracs now before I get my lift?

Damn Mike that sucks! You have to do almost no trimming. I had no issues with the 265/70/17 dynapros. Only issue is I'm lifted and you aren't.

Yeah, I'm not too worried about them fitting, but from everything I've seen the Duratrac has a similar squared off shape to the BFG A/T which causes the rubbing compared to a less aggressive tire.

Well, I WAS planning on doing it all at once, but insurance is going to replace one tire, so while I'm at it, I may as well do the rest. I have enough saved for tires, but not for the lift yet, and with the wedding coming up, I have a lot less money for toys haha.
