I am an Android convert too. iPhone 4S has been a pleasure...and my wife will now get my 4S. (She is so tired of her Nexus S 4G...a true POS phone!) I will be getting the iPhone 5 64GB. For me, i will keep this at least 2 years since iPhone 5 has everything i need.

I'm a happy 4 owner, but I'll be upgrading. By the time I sell my 4, the upgrade costs practically nothing.

Oh yeah, UNLIKE Android, iPhones hold amazing value. Android phones drop their value to zero as soon as you sign on the dotted line.

Agreed.
Before I got my 3GS, I had an HTC Tilt. WHAT A POS!!! Always crashed on me. I hated it. BUT, I hate Apple even more. Thing is, the iPhone works beautifully. I don't tinker too much with my phones, and I love that it doesn't always crash. When it "does", it just gets slow or just abruptly cancels whatever app is crashing. The actual "phone" software never failed and that is great. When my tilt crashed, everything on the phone was worthless.
Anyway, yeah, I'll be preordering the iPhone5, I'm still debating to get the 32 or 64GB. I hope to keep it minimum 2 years.

Also....You can pre-order the Zagg screen and the OtterBox cases as well so when the shinny new toy arrives you can have it protected. I was a droid fan for so long, then the wife got a 4s and I got an iPad, what a difference.

Although I am an iPhone fan, I will not be immediately upgrading my 4 to the 5 until it's been out for a while and I can see what iOS 6 has to offer and what I am still lacking.

Doesn't the 5 have a different type of dock connector?
This sucks if you already have chargers, speakers and other peripherals.

They say drugs are the most addictive thing on earth,
I disagree, I think it's buying iPhones.
I've had the following as soon as they have come out:
iPhone 3GS
iPhone 4
iPhone 4S
(Soon) iPhone 5

I don't have a strongly partisan feeling on iPhone vs Android. I do have a couple of iPads, so it makes good sense to have the iPhone. What I do like is that everything works and works well. Im no lemming for buying an iPhone. It does what I need it to and I'm not so foolish as to believe that buying a less popular phone somehow makes me an iconoclast.
I'll will probably get an iPhone 5. I do a bit of international travel and I suspect I won't have a problem selling my 4S for more than the cost of an upgrade.

I've had a 3GS and a 4, and I'm hooked. I will be getting an iphone 5, but I'm not in a hurry. They have been so good, I'm not even interested in trying an Android or Windows phone at this point.

My 3GS crashed so I bought a HTC vivid. Never turning back to apple, they never did honor their warranty either.
